Getting Started

Welcome to the Church Management System

This guide will help you get started with our church management platform.

Creating Your Account

  1. Visit the church website and click "Sign In"
  2. If you received an invitation, click the link in your email
  3. Complete your profile information
  4. You're ready to start!

Your Dashboard

After logging in, you'll see your personalized dashboard with:

  • Upcoming events you've registered for
  • Recent announcements
  • Your prayer requests
  • Quick links to common actions

Navigation

Use the main menu to access different areas:

  • Home: Return to the main page
  • Sermons: Browse and watch past sermons
  • Events: View and register for upcoming events
  • Ministries: Explore ministry opportunities
  • Prayer Requests: Submit and view your prayer requests and public prayer requests

Language Switcher (EN/ES)

The system supports both English and Spanish. You can toggle between languages at any time:

  1. Look for the language toggle in the header (or in the admin sidebar if you are an admin)
  2. Click the toggle to switch between EN (English) and ES (Spanish)
  3. The interface uses a compact toggle mode for quick switching
  4. Your language preference is saved automatically to your browser (via localStorage and cookie), so it persists across sessions

Contact Page

The contact page displays the church's address, phone number, email, and service times. This information is managed dynamically by administrators through Admin Settings (the `site_settings` table), so it is always up to date. If you notice incorrect contact information, please let a staff member know.

Footer

The footer at the bottom of every page is organized into four columns:

  • Church Info: Basic information about the church
  • Quick Links: Shortcuts to commonly visited pages
  • Service Times: Current worship and service schedule
  • Connect: Social media links including Facebook and Instagram icons that link to the church's social media profiles

Care Pathways Progress

If your church has care pathways enabled, you can track your spiritual growth journey:

  1. Navigate to the My Journey page from your dashboard or user menu
  2. View your CarePathwayCard showing your current progress
  3. Each card displays:
  • A progress visualization (how far along you are)
  • The stages of the pathway
  • Completion tracking for each stage
  1. As you complete stages, your progress updates automatically
